  The Baptist Church, Lavendon  For more information please contact: Rob Webb (Moderator) Telephone 07910 598557 Roy & Monica Chapman (local contacts) 01234 712632 Welcome to the Lavendon Baptist Church Web-Page We are a group of Christians, mainly from Lavendon and Olney, who are seeking to live out our faith in Jesus Christ in a changing world. We have found in Jesus Christ forgiveness for sins that gives a solid hope for life. We endeavour to love and support one another, but also have an active interest in demonstrating this faith to the world around. We therefore support local charities and agencies working among the world's poor and disadvantaged, as well as supporting those who work in evangelism and mission. Sunday Worship (including Sunday Club for children): 11:00 am You will find a warm welcome on Sunday mornings. We are a lively group of about 30 people, from the very youngest to the oldest (perhaps we'd better not say just how old, but several of our folk have lived in Lavendon all their lives!). Our worship is a mix of contemporary and traditional, with an emphasis on understanding the Bible and applying it to our lives. Bible study and prayer on Thursdays each week: 2:00 pm in the chapel and 8:00 pm in various homes We meet twice because some folk find it easier to come out in the afternoons, but these are essentially the same meetings. We meet to think in more detail about the Bible, because it is what God has given and in it we hear God speaking. So these meetings are times of discussion and prayer - usually with coffee! - and give opportunity for us to support each other as well. Contact us for details. "Time Together" every 3rd Wednesday
of the month, 2:00 pm in the chapel Once a month we have a social meeting for
retired people. We don't do anything
too demanding - occasional quizzes, Scrabble,
refreshments, chat, and so on, with
a "thought for the day" to end
with. There is an atmosphere of warm friendship
that is proving increasingly popular. The Lords Supper is observed on the first Sunday of each month and occasionally on Thursday evenings. Special Meetings are organised from time to time and information is posted on the church notice board. For details of the
