Lavendon Aerial Views
These stunning views of Olney were taken by a former resident of Lavendon village, Robert Chambers, who now lives in the United States. The story of his return journey to Lavendon is shown on the Lavendon Aerial Views page -  click on the button to the left.
A view of Olney looking in a northerly direction with the Wellingborough and Lavendon Roads leading off near the top. The playing fields are in the centre, with the line of the former Northampton-Bedford railway crossing over the River Great Ouse discernible centre right.
A view, looking eastwards, of the sports playing field, with the former railway crossing over the River Great Ouse at centre left. East Street and the High Street are at the bottom of the view.
A fine view looking to the south-west showing the Church, and also High Street South crossing over the River Great Ouse. Development on the former Hipwell Brewery site was taking place at this time, evident on the right hand side of the picture.
A view looking southwards with the River Great Ouse top left and Weston Road in the centre, left to right.
A great view of Weston Road leading away westwards to the top left, with High Street South and river bridge running across the bottom nearby to the Church.
A view of Dagnall Road looking southwards from Spring Lane in the foreground.
