Sunny 18th June 09. A great way to spend a couple of hours after school.
This page remains as a tribute to Dave White who very sadly and unexpectedly died in November 2009. Dave was the first webmaster for this web site and the pictures shown on this page, together with his Grandsons, were some of the last that he added.

Dave is greatly missed by all those who knew him. He is particularly remembered for his willingness to try and "make a difference" within the village, as well as for his terrific sense of humour.

The poem below was read during his Celebration of Life, and it aptly sums up the way that he will be remembered by all those who came into contact with him.

Afterglow

I'd like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an after glow
of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve
to dry before the sun
of happy memories
that I leave when my life is done.
