Local History
Lavendon village has its own History Group (part of the Lavendon Old Peoples Welfare Club). The Group has a meeting most months to listen to a speaker, usually on a local or general interest history topic. Although these talks are organised by the Old Folks, they are always of broad interest to a wider audience, and normally include a slideshow.

The talks are open to anyone, regardless of age, and are usually held on a Monday afternoon starting at 2pm in the Lavendon Village Hall. There is a charge of £1 for members and £2 for visitors or non-members. This helps to cover the cost of speakers as well as the tea and biscuits that are included.
